Carl was elected to the Rowlett City Council in June 2011, and is proud to call Rowlett home. He has previously served Rowlett in a number of capacities including: the Board of Adjustment, the Planning and Zoning Commission, Rowlett Lion's Club, and as co-founder of the Rowlett Association of Non-Profits. He also has a passion for the arts and has been in over five plays with the Amateur Community Theatre of Rowlett (ACTOR).
Currently, Carl serves as Vice President/Legal Counsel for a real estate company. In this function, Carl closes commercial real estate transactions, oversees the legal department, manages the 200-300 employees, and works with real estate issues.
In the community, he has received numerous accolades, both in Real Estate and in the community including: being named one of the "Five Outstanding Young Dallasites" in 2011 by the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce and being named one of the "40 under 40" by the Dallas Business Journal in 2013. Other honors include: receiving an appointment to the State Bar of Texas Real Estate Forms Committee, being one of 20 lawyers in the State selected for Leadership State Bar of Texas and being selected for Texas Ballet Theatre's Leadership Ballet, for his commitment to the Arts.
Carl is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
