The City has created the Wellness Accountability Program, which is an employee incentive program designed to help our employee stakeholders adopt and maintain healthy behaviors as a way of life. It aims to increase stakeholders’ awareness of their own health status and it provides education and resources to help them stay healthy, get healthy, or live better with an existing illness.
The Wellness Accountability Program does not impose a one-size-fits-all approach. It allows employees to select the programs and activities that are best suited for their needs, while earning medical premium contribution incentives along the way. By linking employee health insurance contributions to wellness program participation, we are integrating our employee wellness efforts into our health care cost containment efforts.
The Human Resources department has resources to assist employees in understanding the Wellness Accountability Program.
