Snap! Post! Win!

All you have to do to enter is "snap" a picture of yourself or you with your family or friends while participating in one of the special events offered by the City of Rowlett Parks and Recreation Department (ex: the Easter Egg Hunt). You are then encouraged to "post" the picture(s) to "Facebook", "Twitter" or "Instagram". Please be sure to include "#RowlettPARD"

Using hashtags"#" in your post are very important and if you fail to use them, your picture will not be entered into the contest for that particular event. After the event is over you will have approximately 48 hours to upload your pictures to one of the listed social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram). Once the 48 hours have come to an end, the Rowlett Parks and Recreation staff will vote on the pictures that have been entered. If you "win", you will be contacted through the social media outlet you posted the picture to.

Instagram: It is recommended that you follow @RowlettParksandRec so that our Department can "follow" you back and have a better chance of seeing your picture(s). Please tag "@RowletPARD" in the posts you wish to have entered. Always use "#RowlettPARD" in your post. Facebook: Please "like" our page "City of Rowlett Parks and Recreation". Be sure to use the #RowlettPARD along with the "hashtag" associated with each event.

Twitter: Follow us @RowlettParksandRec. Always use the "#RowlettPARD" in your post along with the special "hashtag" associated with each event.

*Social Media Contest sponsors are needed for each event throughout the year. The sponsorship for each event is $50 (preferably visa or restaurant gift cards). All donations will have to be approved. THANK YOU TO CHICK-FIL-A FOR BEING THE 2018 SOCIAL MEDIA SPONSOR!

In return for the sponsorship donation, the sponsor will receive:

  • Exposure leading up to the event through the various social media outlets
  • Exposure on the City of Rowlett website & through enews email blasts that are delivered to 6,000 household addresses
  • Exposure at the event through announcements and flyers (vendor booths at Downtown Event Series events are separate)
  • Exposure after the event through social media when the winner is announced
