Join the Neighborhood Life Office and learn to engage others and create communities that are welcoming, safe and resilient.  These engagement principles can be applied to Voluntary Neighborhood Associations, Crime Watches, Home Owner’s Associations or Non-Profit Organizations.  

This short series of workshops will include: 

  • What’s Your Leadership Style? The Leader As Technician, Therapist, and Monk
  • #Civility in a World of Trolls - Social Media on Multiple Platforms
  • A Way Forward: The Art of Dialogue in an Age of Conflict. Where Can YOU Make a Difference?
  • Making the Most of Available Resources
  • Having your Voice Heard with Cindy Burkett, State Representative District 113
  • Stepping into Leadership Roles 

Classes will run each Thursday evening September 27 and run through November 1, 2018 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Rowlett City Hall.  Class participants will be limited to 18.  Please complete your application for the program by Friday September 21, at 5:00pm.
