Board Responsibilities

Members will serve as ambassadors of the planning process and are asked to attend scheduled meetings and will be led through a series of visioning exercises. Additionally, members are asked to help facilitate community and neighborhood meetings to hear first-hand what the vision for Rowlett is from its residents. Members are to help disseminate information about the planning process and scheduled events. Members will be asked to provide input into Plan findings and recommendations to ensure that the Comprehensive Plan update is reflective of the community’s interests. Finally, members will be responsible for review of the final draft report and will be asked to recommend the Comprehensive Plan update for adoption.
