The Rowlett Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission is comprised of eleven regular members appointed by the City Council who serve staggered two-year terms and three alternate members appointed by the City Council annually.

Duties and responsibilities of the Rowlett Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission include providing creative ideas and feedback from the community on how to proactively engage all of the diverse groups in Rowlett, as well as serve as a sounding board for proposed public policy.
Mission
The Rowlett Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission exists to provide creative ideas and feedback to proactively engage Rowlett’s diverse population. We aspire to enhance the community by celebrating and fostering mutual respect, integrity, and fairness. We seek to engage with others in a deliberate and collaborate effort to enrich the vibrant culture of Rowlett.
The Rowlett Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission has 12 meetings per year.
Are you looking for ways to give back to the community? If so, we have a spot for you! We’re looking for committed residents willing to volunteer a few hours of their time each month to serve on a board or commission. Applications are available in the City Secretary’s Office in the City Hall Municipal Center at 4000 Main Street. Completed applications can be dropped off at the City Secretary’s Office, faxed to 972-412-6118 or emailed to the City Secretary’s Office.
