GED tutoring is available for anyone 17 and older who live or work in Rowlett.
The GED consists of 4 subjects including Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Mathematical Reasoning. After completing the registration below, students are required to complete a shortened version of the Reasoning Through Language Arts pre-test as a diagnostic measure. Students then must attend a mandatory orientation session onsite at the library.
All GED tutoring sessions occur at the Rowlett Public Library.
After attending the mandatory orientation session, students will take the official GED.com Pre-Test onsite at the library.
Tutors will then analyze the results and determine a study pathway with educational goals.
Students will address 1 - 3 goals in each 6-week session.
Progress testing will occur in the 6th week followed by an off week.
If you’re interested in becoming a tutor, please contact the library or fill out our online volunteer form.
