The Library is now open to the public for a limited number of hours each day.
A mask worn over the nose and mouth is required in the Library and staff will provide a disposable mask if you do not have one.
Fines and fees have temporarily been waived from accounts and the Library will not accept payments or donations at this time.
Public Computers are not available, but patrons can print items through the PrinterOn app on their smartphone.
If you’re not ready to go into public buildings yet, the Library will still be able to accommodate you with a continuation of Curbside Checkout.
You can request items 2 ways – log into your account on the Library catalog and place a hold request for items to check out, or complete the request form. We’ll give you a call when your items are collected and bagged. Let us know when you arrive at the Library (or call before you leave) and staff will bring your goodies out to you.
Digital Access Library Cards
The Library is also offering temporary digital access library cards. To get a card, call the library at 972-412-6161 or fill out our online form. If you use the online form, a member of staff will email you a library card number within 24 hours. Digital cards are good for all of our online resources, and will expire after 3 months. Once they’ve expired, you’ll need to come in and get a regular library card.
If you have a question, Ask a Librarian. Library staff is here to help. A Rowlett Public Library card provides access to over 50 TexShare databases. And even when our doors are closed, you can join our Online Book Club.
Any person needing an accommodation for a disability in order to access the benefits of the Library’s services, programs, or activities under the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact a Library manager by telephone at (972) 412-6161, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing, not less than five (5) working days prior to the program.
