During the month of October, patrons may donate non-perishable food items or join the Friends of the Rowlett Library to waive fines off their accounts. For each package of food donated, the Library will take $1 off patron fines. This only applies to fines for late materials; it does not apply to fees from lost or damaged materials. Patrons who sign up for a $25 Friends membership will have $25 waived off their fines. Collected items will be donated to local food pantries. The Library will also accept non-perishable pet food donations.

Hours of Operation and Current Restrictions
The Library is now operating under normal hours of Monday - Thursday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm and Friday – Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Most programs have returned to being in person, though some have attendance limits. Due to the ongoing health situation, programs may be modified or cancelled if necessary.
You can request items by logging into your account on the Library catalog and placing a hold request for items to check out. We’ll contact you when your items are ready to be picked up. Let us know when you arrive at the Library (or call before you leave) and staff will bring your materials out to you.
If you have a question, Ask a Librarian. Library staff is here to help. A Rowlett Public Library card provides access to over 50 TexShare databases. And even when our doors are closed, you can join our Online Book Club.
Any person needing an accommodation for a disability in order to access the benefits of the Library’s services, programs, or activities under the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact a Library manager by telephone at (972) 412-6161, by email at email@example.com or in writing, not less than five (5) working days prior to the program.
