Due to the public health emergency, public computer usage has been temporarily suspended and staff will begin performing temperature checks at the door.
Other restrictions remain in place at the Library. Patron capacity is 50 people and visits are limited to 30 minutes. Face masks are required for visitors 2 and older. The Library currently does not have seating or study areas, and we have not yet returned to our regularly scheduled in-person programs. Storytime continues with Ms. Lauren Tuesday mornings at 10 am on the Library’s Facebook page and each week kids can pick up STEM activities and craft kits to work on at home.
If you’re not ready to go into public buildings yet, the Library will still be able to accommodate you with a continuation of Curbside Checkout any time the Library is open.
To initiate curbside checkout, log into your account in the Library catalog and place a hold request for items to check out. We’ll notify you when your items are collected.
Let us know when you arrive at the Library (or call before you leave) and staff will bring your goodies out to you.
If you have a question, Ask a Librarian. Library staff is here to help. A Rowlett Public Library card provides access to over 50 TexShare databases. And even when our doors are closed, you can join our Online Book Club.
Any person needing an accommodation for a disability in order to access the benefits of the Library’s services, programs, or activities under the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact a Library manager by telephone at (972) 412-6159, by email at email@example.com or in writing, not less than five (5) working days prior to the program.
