Salvation Army Garland Administers Utility Bill Assistance

Rowlett residents who need help with their utility bills may now qualify to receive assistance through the Salvation Army in Garland.

 Here are some of the program parameters:

Resident can receive utility assistance once every 12 months (on a rolling basis);
Resident will income qualify by showing they make 80% of the median income as defined by HUD;
Utility bill must be in the client’s name requesting assistance;
These funds can pay for penalties;
These funds cannot pay for deposits;
There is no residency length of time requirement.
