Rowlett residents who need help with their utility bills may now qualify to receive assistance through the Salvation Army in Garland. Here are some of the program parameters:
Client can receive utility assistance once every 12 months (on a rolling basis); Clients will income qualify by showing they make 80% of the median income as defined by HUD; Utility bill must be in the client’s name requesting assistance;
These funds can pay for penalties; These funds cannot pay for deposits; There is no residency length of time requirement.
