SH 66 Signal Improvement Project Begins 1-7-12

Traffic signal with yellow arrow

TxDOT will begin a traffic signal improvement project along SH 66 (Lakeview Parkway) on Monday, January 7. All nine intersections on SH 66 will be improved, starting on the west side at Dexham Road. The work at each intersection will last about one week, with work to occur during non-rush hours (between approximately 9am-3pm). Please be aware that the signal will be in “all way” red flash mode when possible or temporary stop signs will be utilized to control the intersection during the installation.

This is a highly anticipated improvement and great news for traffic flow along SH66! Benefits include all new equipment with the latest technology managing our signals on SH 66. Also, as with other new signals around town, a yellow flashing arrow is replacing the green ball for unprotected left turns, this is mandated for new signals by the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
