The City of Rowlett Neighborhood Life Office is excited to announce Billie Odom as the March recipient of the Spirit of Rowlett Award! This award is to publicly recognize ordinary residents doing extra-ordinary things in our community, and they’re nominated by YOU – the citizens of Rowlett.
Billie was nominated by Rowlett resident Shelita Seals, who says “Billie, in association with Sideline Sports, contributes so much to our community. My daughter and all other cheerleaders in the area use Billie as a coach to help strengthen their cheer and tumbling skills. Billie is extra-ordinary, she invests so much in our area cheer teams and it shows! She is so positive, the girls love her! She always goes above and beyond. During try-out season she is swamped and works extra hard to make sure all seeking her assistance are helped and ready for try-outs and make the squad and get their "skirt". Billie is a one of a kind! She attends all the area high school pep rallies to support the girls. I am so happy and feel Rowlett is blessed to have her as part of our community!”
We hope you enjoy this interview of Billie by Councilmember Debby Bobbitt.
