Greetings from the desk of Rowlett Police Chief Michael Godfrey! "Are you a resident here in our fine city of Rowlett, 18 years or older and have questions, comments, and concerns regarding our community and the Rowlett Police Department? Now is your chance to address those issues directly with me, your Chief! I am starting up a new initiative that I am referring to as ‘Chief Chat’ where I will be meeting with Rowlett citizens on a regular basis to listen and engage in productive discussions regarding our community. The first of these meetings will be held in June 2021 (exact date still pending). If you are interested in attending an event where you can openly talk to the Rowlett Chief of Police, please click on the sign-up genius link below. The first 25 residents to sign up will then receive an email from me with information, including a date and time for the first meeting. This will be first come, first served, but just because you do not make the first 25 does not mean you missed out. There will be a wait list created for future meetings based off when you signed up. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new people.
I am very excited about the opportunity to begin meeting in person again with the citizens of this great city and having conversations about how we as a police department are doing and what we can do to better serve you. Through open communication and positive, respectful dialogue, I hope to continue to strengthen the relationship of our Police Department and the citizenry we serve."
