Are you looking for ways to give back to the community? If so, we have a spot for you! We’re looking for committed residents willing to volunteer a few hours of their time each month to serve on a board or commission. Rowlett citizens are encouraged to participate in their municipal government through service on various City boards and commissions. These volunteer boards are composed of citizens who are appointed by the City Council. Most positions are appointed for terms ranging from one to two years. Other appointments are made as necessary to fill vacancies or when new boards are created. Applications for this year's Boards and Commissions appointments are now being accepted through August 14th. Application Information. For any questions, call the Action Center at 972-412-6100.
