Youth of all ages can participate in our 40 days of Winter Reading program. Participants must read 20 minutes a day to earn a book tag. For each day you read you must color in the square for the day. Stop in to pick up your winter reading check sheet.
For children of all ages who can actively engage. This interactive storytime with books, music, and movement is a high engagement storytime that instills the love of literacy and the Library at an early age. Caregivers also learn valuable information on how to continue building literacy at home. While all ages are welcome, we will focus on pre-literacy skills. Thursday is a repeat of Wednesday’s program.
Participants explore a variety of subjects and interests to stimulate their minds. This program is for school age students 13-18.
Participants explore the wide world through reading, STEM, and innovation. This program is for school age students 6-9.
Is your family looking to plan a Disney trip in the near future? Confused on where to start? Join us as we teach you tips and tricks to make your next Disney trip more magical. Registration for this event is preferred, but not required. Those who pre-register will be guaranteed materials. This is an adult program. No childcare will be provided.
During the month of December we will not be holding Family Craftivities on Saturdays. Instead, register for a Winter Activity Box by December 18. Keep an eye out for new programs and workshops here at the library starting in January 2022.

A 20-minute lapsit storytime featuring developmentally appropriate board books, rhymes, and movement encouraging early literacy for infants 0-18 months. Caregivers also learn valuable information on how to continue building literacy at home. If children can walk steadily, then we suggest Family Storytime.
Participants explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with hands-on activities and crafts. This program is for school age students 10-12.

Rowlett Public Library
We will be ringing in the new year at noon! The festivities begin at 11:00 am where we will have a dance party, make crafts, and play games. Countdown and balloon drop will be at noon!
