Title: Division Commander-Nights
Lieutenant Leroy Brantley a Commander in the Patrol Division. Lt. Brantley began working for the Rowlett Police Department on June 20, 1989, as a patrolman. In addition to his duties as a patrolman, Lt. Brantley also worked in specialty fields, including field training officer, Intoxilyzer operator, firearms instructor and was an original member of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT).
In 1997, Lt. Brantley was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division, assigned to investigate offenses involving child exploitation and abuse. He also kept up the sex offender registration program for the Police Department. Lt. Brantley was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2002 and assigned to the Patrol Division until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2005. In 2009 he was tranfered to the Traffic Division as the Division Commander and in 2013 transfered again to the Patrol Division as a Patrol Commander.
Lt. Brantley holds a Master Peace Officer certificate, Firearms Instructor certificate and Law Enforcement Instructor License from TCLEOSE.
