Sergeant Rick Caillet serves on Day Shift. Sergeant Caillet began his law enforcement career with the Balch Springs Police Department and became a Rowlett Police Officer in 1992.

In addition to his duties as a patrolman Sergeant Caillet, also worked in specialty fields including Field Training Officer, Intoxilyzer Operator, Accident Investigator/Reconstructionist, and Officer in Charge (OIC).

On February 25, 2003, Sergeant Caillet received the "Police Chief's Award for Excellence". Sergeant Caillet received a field promotion to Acting Corporal in early 2003. On March 27, 2003, he was promoted to Corporal. On January 15, 2004, Sergeant Caillet was promoted to his current rank.

Prior to being promoted to sergeant, Sergeant Caillet completed a comprehensive study / proposal for a traffic unit within the Rowlett Police Department. Sergeant Caillet was an original member of the Traffic Unit. He also completed a comprehensive study / proposal for the Fatal Vision Program, a program designed to simulate various levels of intoxication through the wearing of special eyewear. Sergeant Caillet also serves our community presenting the Fatal Vision Program to high school students, church groups, and other community segments. He also instructs classes for the Citizens Police Academy. Sergeant Caillet holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate and Law Enforcement Instructor License from TCLEOSE.
