Debby BobbittDebby Bobbitt, City Council, Place 4, was elected in May of 2013. Debby has been a resident of Rowlett since 1996 and a very active member of our community. Debby has been married to her husband, Michael for 37 years; they enjoy their lives with their six grandchildren. Debby attended Eastfield and Richland Community Colleges. She received a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Debby has served on many boards for the city including the Environmental Services Board, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, the Tree Preservation Board, the City Bond election, as well as on the Art and Design Committee for the DART Rail Station now in Rowlett. Debby also served as a liaison on the Charter Review Commission and Library Advisory Board. She is proud to be a member of the Rowlett Lions Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and as the Co-Chair for the Ambassadors. She can also be found occasionally assisting and playing roles in ACTOR (Amateur Community Theatre for Rowlett), a local theatre. Debby served as the Election Judge for her precinct, Precinct 2529 for several previous elections. She loves working in the public sector and finds it a wonderful way to give back to the citizens of Rowlett.

Debby currently serves as a liaison to the Golf Advisory Board, the Rockwall County Emergency Services Board, as well as the Rockwall County Consortium, lastly on Rowlett's Special Events Committee. She also represents Rowlett on the Legislative Board of the North Texas Crime Commission for North Texas. Debby is an active participant and Treasurer with TEX-21, which strives to improve and provide planning strategies and legislation, for our Texas Transportation Infrastructure by increasing and advocating public awareness of various types of transportation needs in all areas of transportation be it highways, roads, high speed rail for commuters and cargo along with addressing maritime transportation needs for the State of Texas and beyond to keep trade and commerce alive and well in the State of Texas.
